Description
826 - MILLER PA 353 MS63 30% Red with small planchet clip. R. Lovett Jr. Engraver & Die Sinker 1860, Philadelphia struck in Copper with Plain edge. Popular token due to its association with the Confederate Cent made just one year later by the same firm. This Copper and the following Brass example appear to be much scarcer than the Copper-Nickel variety. An AU+ sold for $105 in our December 2012 sale. From the Richard Crosby collection.
