2 - 2/270 b R9 Raw UNC Details 10% Bright and nicely toned but with a few hairlines from an old cleaning. 1864 Union Forever struck in Brass. Two very scarce dies used only in the Patriotic series. Quite rare in Brass, the only example we have seen offered. A Raw VF example of the R7 Copper variety brought $1,100 in our December 2016 auction. From the Robert Williams and Henry South collections earlier from Walt Korzick in August 1984. (750-1000)
