200 - NY630 N-5do R8 PCGS MS64 60% Bright. Struck over an 1863 US Cent. W. S. Brown Eureka 2 Warren Street, New York 1863 struck in Copper Nickel over an 1863 Indian Head Cent. A spelling error in the merchant's name which should have been M. S. Brown, it was once considered a separate merchant. The error must have been caught early as all the varieties with incorrect spelling are quite rare. From the Dave Bowers collection. Called NY630O-1do on PCGS holder, a prior designation. (750-1000)
