163 - MI225 I-1a R8 PCGS AU53 Fr. Behr, Detroit Ein Glas Bier. Very rare and popular token featuring a Bear standing drinking a large glass of beer on the obverse with a bowling pin perched on top of a bowling ball on the reverse. Although not noted in Fuld the obverse die is signed WR beneath the bear. One of the classics rarities of the Civil War series, a Raw EF Details with residue traces realized $3,168 in our October 2002 auction. From the Dave Bowers collection earlier from Rossa and Tanenbaum. (6000-8000)
