137 - IN630B-4b R8+ NGC AU Details Bent. Nicely toned and attractive. Very late die state with large die cud mint error on the obverse. This variety when seen tends to be a bit dished. Because of the state of the obverse die it is easy to imagine this was caused at the time of manufacture. B. Holcomb Stoneware muled with H. D. Higgins Jeweler & Optician both from Mishawaka Indiana struck in Brass. Indiana Primitive. Exceedingly rare Higgins / Holcomb mule, rarely offered in any condition. From the Wayne Stafford collection, earlier from Rossa and Tanenbaum in November 1998. (1000-1500)
