Description
95 - IL150 J-18j R6 NGC MS63 20% Bright. Childs' Manufacturer of Advertising Coin, Chicago Illinois 1863 with eagle reverse struck in German Silver. Probably a bit underrated at R6. One of very few Civil War tokens in this composition that actually circulated, rarely seen this nice. We sold a Raw MS63 for $350 in our December 2017 auction. From the Dave Lucas and Virgil Brand collections, earlier from Abner Areisberg's October 1966 sale. (400-500)
