44 - 147/227 f R9 PCGS MS64 Very nearly Proof Like with very attractive toning. I Am Ready 1861 The Union Must & Shall be Preserved signed L for John D. Lovett struck in Silver. Popular large size 31mm token with a soldier wearing a star-studded shirt with neckerchief and Pilgrim style wide brim hat. Listed in the Anti-Confederate section of DeWitt / Sullivan as C 1861-6. From the Lumberton and Larkin Wilson collections, earlier from Bowers & Merena's November 1995 sale where it realized $2,310. (3000-4000)
