33 - 116/153 b R8 NGC MS66 20% Bright more so on the reverse. George Washington and Benjamin Franklin doubleheader struck in Brass. The Franklin die is very rare as a token, most often seen on counterstamped Large Cents. The die combination is exceedingly rare with this Brass variety underrated, this and Partrick's duplicate are the only examples we have seen offered. We sold an NGC MS64 RB example of the R9 Copper variety in our December 2022 auction that brought $4,922. From the Don Partrick collection. (4000-6000)
