495 - MILLER TN 25 NGC MS63 DPL 80% Bright and fully Proof Like. Francisco & Wiggin Peabody Hotel 307 Main St. Memphis struck in White Metal on a thick Plain edge planchet. Recent research by Fred Reed indicates these tokens were issued no earlier than 1869 and no later than the mid 1870's rather than the 1850's as listed in Rulau. Regardless, a very rare and impressive token. We sold an NGC MS61 DPL example for $260 in our February 2021 catalog sale. From the Aaron Packard, Jon Harris and Max Schwartz collections. (300-400)
