293 - PA750V-8b R10 PCGS UNC Details Damaged. There are a couple of spots on the obverse and reverse and there is a light scratch and other stray marks on the reverse. N. & G. Taylor Co. Stamped & Japanned Ware Metals, Philadelphia Pennsylvania struck in Brass on a large 37mm planchet with George Washington. Two very rare dies though not Unique as neither of the Plate photos are of this token. The obverse die has the same bisecting die crack that runs from 12 o'clock through and over George's head and out the base of his neck through the I in Philadelphia to the rim. The reverse too has a number of small die cracks that are not nearly as advanced as seen on the current Plate token. Quite presentable considering the Damaged designation. From the Dave Bowers collection from us via Want List, in one of Dave's special holders with picture and facsimile signature. (750-1000)
