131 - MI450M-3a R9 NGC AU58 BN Samm & Kuhlke Grocers, Hillsdale Michigan. Exceedingly rare variety from newly listed obverse and reverse dies. The obverse is quite different with And Produce Dealers added and Mich instead of M., while the reverse die 1185A has the same wording as 1185 without a date. The finest by far of just two known, this very example brought $920 in Heritage's April 2012 sale. From the Wayne Stafford and Cliff Temple collection. This is the current Plate specimen for both the obverse and reverse dies. (1500-2000)
