27 - 154/469B a R9 PCGS AU50 Stephen A. Douglas Hardware, Iron, Nails, Glass, & Stoves 1863. The finest of just two known. Very rare single use die in the Patriotic series. The current Plate in the Patriotic book is represented by a Store Card reverse. We sold the only other known example, a Raw EF Details, a bit porous with light marks in November 2021 for a very reasonable $1,325. From the Steve Tanenbaum collection, earlier from us in April 2000. (3000-4000)
