217 - WV890B-3a R7 PCGS MS63 RB 10% Red. John Eckhart Manufacturer of Hosiery, Wheeling West Virginia 1863 with Flying Eagle. The variety is probably a bit overrated at R7 but the vast majority of known examples are VF and lower with Uncirculated examples being very rare. We sold an NGC AU58 BN example in our June 2005 auction that realized $200. From the Dave Bowers and Cindy Grellman Wibker collections. Reverse Die: 1169. (750-1000)
