215 - TN600F-10b1 R9 NGC MS63 20% Bright. Stockman & Co. 159 Main Street, Memphis Tennessee struck in Brass with Blank reverse counterstamped 25 for use as a Drayage check. Drayage is the movement of goods over short distances usually from water or rail terminals to merchants or warehouse. The use of tokens for payment of Drayage services was a common practice in Memphis for many years. From the Steve Tanenbaum and Ed Rosen collections. Labeled on NGC holder as TN600F-10B the base variety without counterstamp. Reverse Die: 1427. (1500-2000)
