662 - MILLER NY 954 Raw EF Details Holed with a few light marks. Willis & Brothers Hardware Cutlery & Earthenware China, 215 Pearl St, New York struck in White Metal (Tin) with a Reeded edge. Rulau dates this token to 1829 to 1833 based on an 276 Pearl Street address not on the token. Our research indicates they were at the 215 Pearl Street address subsequently from 1834 to 1838 putting them squarely in the Hard Times period. Called Very Rare by Adams and Miller with this being the Rulau plate specimen. We know of no other example. From the Steve Tanenbaum collection earlier from Bowers & Merena's March 2000 sale.
