429 - Wm GRUMBINE / COACH / MAKER / HAVOVER Pa on obverse of 1772 Two Real Raw VF Details Coin VG holed. Per Russell Rulau William Grumbine was one of roughly 25 coachmakers in Hanover at the time. Collectively they employing over 2,000 people. Another coachmaker, G. W. Welsh, also from Hanover issued counterstamps. The vast majority of both issues are on silver two reals. Rulau Pa 701. From the Cliff Wainwright, John Linhoss and Bob Ulrich collections. Brunk Plate specimen. (500-750)
