235 - MI450L-4a R7 Raw AU+ Mott & Bro. Druggists and Grocers, Hillsdale Michigan. Rare and unusual mule of Childs of Chicago obverse die with a Gleason of Hillsdale reverse die. The obverse die was apparently retained by the Childs customer and later pressed into service again by the hometown Gleason mint. This is the most available Childs / Gleason mule but very rarely are any of them seen in this condition. An Raw VF Details with residues brought $275 in our December 2008 sale.
