95 - 146/472 b R9 PCGS MS63 30% Bright with typical weakness opposite Burnsides' head. 1864 General Burnsides Rhode Island First In The Field muled with 1837 East Boston Hard Times token reverse struck in Brass. For whatever reason this variety appears to be even rarer than the following with this being the first we have recorded. A Raw MS62 example in German Silver sold for $1,000 in our July 2009 sale. From the Dave Bowers collection. Data: 180°, 38.5 grains, 18.9 mm. (1000-1500)
