94 - 146/283 d R9 PCGS MS65 60% Bright. 1864 Ambrose Burnsides with Eagle and Anchor struck in Copper Nickel. This Eagle and Anchor die like its more famous Hunting Dogs cousin has horizontal lines that add to the luster and beauty of the design. We sold a Raw MS61 example in White Metal for $1,250 in our January 2016 auction. From the Dave Bowers collection. Data: 180°, 60 grains, 20.5 mm. (3000-4000)
