An early manufacturer of telephone, alarm and intercom systems. Counterstamps with an exact date are rare and one dated for any leap day could very well be unique. Since the last digit of the date is missing, the fact that is a leap year narrows the possibilities to 1912 or 1916. This stamp appears to relate to patent number 1,173,961 for a inmproved mail box system granted in 1916. This interesting and unusual piece is unlisted by Rulau.
