216 - MD060 J-1b R8 Raw VF+ G. Bauernschmidt Good For 4 Cents with beer mug on reverse struck in Brass with a Plain edge. Formerly listed in Chicago as IL150C-1b, it has been relocated to Baltimore Maryland in the new Civil War Store Card book. George Bauernschmidt is listed as a restaurant owner and brewer at 281 West Pratt Street in 1863. Very rare single variety merchant, one of just two we have recorded. (750-1000)
