179 - PA-11b-25Bc R8 Raw AU With push up from reverse counterstamp. G. McAlpin Sutler 11 Pennsylvania Cavalry. Counterstamped with the denomination 25 and Mc presumably a mark of the Sutler McAlpin. Only the two highest denominations from this Sutler are known with the additional counterstamp, either a Mc or M, perhaps indicating his approval to hinder tampering. Formerly PA D-25Bc.
