Description
219 - PA525A-1e (fp) R9 NGC MS61 Toned. S. H. Zahm Dealer in Coins, Tokens and Medals, Lancaster Pennsylvania struck in Silvered White Metal though called PA525A-1f Silver on the NGC holder in error. Popular 1861 dated token with Benjamin Franklin reverse die 1148 signed Lovett. Though the new book listed the Silvered White Metal as a separate variety with a higher rarity, it has been our experience that many if not most are Silvered. A raw AU+ sold for $265 in our June 2011 sale. From the Mark Cramer collection. (300-400)
