636 - RULAU VA 103 NGC AU58 BN Very nice and exceeding well struck for issue with sharp date and nice toning. Marshall House 1859, Richmond Virginia. Popular token issued for the hotel where Colonel Ellsworth was shot and killed for removing the Confederate flag in 1861. A raw AU with small spots and normal weak date brought $155.33 in our August 2015 sale. From the Dr. W. Stokes Houck III collection. (200-300)
