634 - MILLER SC 9 Raw VF+ Details With some light stains and marks. W. W. Wilbur Auction & Commission Merchant 1846, Charleston South Carolina struck in Brass. Obverse 3 with Going At Only A Penny and reverse B with short bushy tree. Popular token featuring an auctioneer holding gavel. Thought to be one of the many auction houses that sold slaves during this period. A VF+ without the issues brought $265 in our July 2012 sale. From the Dr. W. Stokes Houck III collection. (100-150)
