611 - MILLER NY 820G NGC MS61 20% Bright. Young America of the 19th Century, The Brave, Fearless & Generous Hearted Fireman 30mm White Metal. Detailed die work signed S & H for Smith & Hartmann on both sides. Though thought to date from the 1860's when the firm seems most active the Young America die was latter used in the 1890's for an Aluminum striking of the E. Jacobs & Son New York store card. The Young American die is also know muled with a 1860's McClellan Civil War dog tag. A beautiful and intriguing token with many secrets yet to be discovered. From the Bob Miller collection.
