567 - MILLER CT 27A R8 Raw VF Waterbury House 42 Church St N.H. signed WBD 6 Cent denomination struck in Brass. Waterbury house was located in New Haven Connecticut. William B. Dunbar was a diesinker from Waterbury Connecticut. Unlisted denomination in Adams and Miller. This is the Rulau Plate specimen. We mistakenly called Steve Tanenbaum's upgrade in our July 2014 sale the plate token. That NGC XF45 example realized $2,429. Still believed to be one of just three known and Steve owned two! The discovery specimen from the Steve Tanenbaum collection earlier for Charles Kirtley January 1981 and J. L. Hargett. (1500-2000)
