359 - WI510 R-5a1 R8 Raw MS63 Trace Red. Ch. Hermann & Co., Milwaukee Wisconsin 1863. Very rare obverse die. The token exhibits extensive obverse die cracks likely accounting for its great rarity. One of just three examples we have seen offered. A more red MS62brought $1,155 in our March 2010 auction. From the Steve Tanenbaum, Bob Kraft and Len Roosmalen collections, earlier from World Exonumia's September 1991 and PCAC's May 1979 sales. (1500-2000)
