122 - IT-FS-10Bc Unlisted Raw EF Details With some areas of roughness from burial and expected flatness opposite counterstamp. Sutler Check Rice & Byers Redeemed in Goods to Soldiers Only Fort Still, Indian Territory. The denomination on this piece was reduced by counterstamping a 1 over the 5 in the struck 50 Cents reverse. Unlisted in both editions of the Sutler book. Apparently the 10 Cent denomination proved more useful to the Sutler and at least some 15 and 50 pieces were devalued. It will be interesting to see if any adjusted 25 Cent or less likely One Dollar tokens from this Sutler are ever discovered. (750-1000)
