628 - Die Sinker Medal Raw AU Trace Bright. H. M. Ruden Die Sinker, Room 15 Ford Building New Haven Connecticut struck in White Metal 38mm. A wonderfully detailed and unlisted "Sample" of the issuers work listing many services provided and a possible self portrait on the reverse of a man with mustache, rolled up shirt sleeves and apron sitting as a work bench using tools of the trade with many others handy on his bench. An advertisement in the 1899 New Haven business directory lists H. R. Ruden at Room 19 Ford Building 730 Chapel Street. Further research may locate the exact years he was in Room 15. A rare and important item. (400-500)
