624 - Bolen JAB-M-05 Br Raw MS64 30% Bright. Mule of Libertas Americana and Thomas Jefferson struck in Brass 25.5mm and 2.4mm to nearly 3.0mm thick. Not thought to have been struck by Bolen, though the thicker planchet might otherwise suggest that it was. Musante states a small number of restrikes were issued. A very rare die combination in any metal by any maker. From the Dave Bowers reference set, earlier from PCAC's December 2003 sale where it realized $546.25. (750-1000)
