559 - RULAU NY Nyk 35A Raw MS62 10% Bright more so on the reverse. Compliments of Eagle Engraving & Stamping Co. 19 Johns St. New York, Manufacturers of Coins, Medals, Badges Etc. signed D. Brenner and struck in White Metal 45mm. Unlisted in this composition. Very attractive obverse design which Rulau refers to as a Revolutionary "dandy". Almost certainly the work of a young Victor D. Brenner. The plate specimen for Katherine Jaeger's book on US Tokens and Medals. From the Steve Tanenbaum collection earlier from Sam Sloat January 1986. (500-750)
