399 - CURRENCY / J (eagle) S / J. SEETIN apparently with individual letter punches on the obverse and GOOD FOR / 25 / CENTS on the reverse of what appears to be a planed down Large Cent. Raw EF Coin Not Identifiable. An excellent research opportunity. The reverse and denomination remind us of various drayage tokens, but a quick search could find no links. This piece weighs 8.68 grams and though this appears to be the Rulau plate piece, we can see no undertype. That piece is said to be over a New Jersey colonial copper. Rulau Z83 (100-150)
