390 - J. JONES on the obverse of an 1836 Large Cent. Raw VF Coin VG. Rulau attributes another J. JONES counterstamp but with raised letters to Boston Massachusetts silversmith John B. Jones who was active in the early to mid 1800's. Based on the dates of these counterstamped pieces he attributes them to the Hard Times period, HT-B162. This piece falls nicely in the Hard Times period as well. (100-150)
