379 - P.E.BALLOU PHRENOLOGIST in a circular punch on reverse of an 1846 Large Cent. Raw EF Coin VF. Issued by Perry Eugene Ballou of Blendon Michigan during the 1870's. Phrenology is the study of the effect of the shape of a person's head on their behavior. We sold an example on a 1871 Two Cent Piece in our April 1996 sale for $242. (500-750)
