366 - LU H-1g R9 Raw VG/AG H. H. Union 1861 with George Washington reverse die 1140A struck in Lead. Known and considered a Civil War token for quite some time. Formerly called Patriotic 115/466 it is now thought to be a Store Card. The issuer has yet to be discovered making for another research opportunity. Philadelphia is likely a good starting point due to the similarity of this piece's reverse to a die by Philadelphia die sinker Robert Lovett Jr., though in this instance it was probably used as a model or mold by a different maker as in Patriotic 115/530. From the Henry South collection earlier from Paul Koppenhaver March 1987. (300-400)
