179 - MI175A-1a R9 Raw VF+ Congdon Brothers, Chelsea Michigan. The only use of extremely rare reverse die 1183A. This die was not pictured in Fuld's Second Edition further attesting to its great rarity. Serving as a quick diagnostic point as well as an explanation of its rarity is a die crack extending from the eagles head to the rim through the fifth star that is seen on all examples known. This is one of only four examples we have seen offered. From the Henry South and Dale Cade collections, earlier from our April 2000 auction where it realized $1,045. (1000-1500)
