499 - HT-592 R9 Raw VF COIN AG+. SPRING / FIELD / 1836 on the obverse of an 1817 Large Cent. Rulau lists this piece under the Springfield Armory in Springfield Massachusetts. This particular mark was for a flintlock pistol. From the Dave Bowers reference collection earlier from Rossa and Tanenbaum 1988. (200-300)
