474 - LOW 176 / HT-434 R5 VF Details But uneven strike as usual with a few light scratches. Gustin & Blake 1835, Chelsea Vermont. The unevenness results in Chelsea VT and a number of stars being very weak or missing but unusual with full 1835 date. Distinguishing between Low 175 and 176 is difficult and we believe a Low 175 illustrates both varieties in Rulau. Refer to lot 318 in the Ford Hard Times sale for a well struck Low 176 and note the base of the T's in Stoves and Tin and base of E in Ware. (500-750)
