451 - LOW 108 / HT-430 R7 EF Details Sharply struck but a bit dark with some residues and a thin planchet crack as is somewhat common on this issue. R. L. Baker Good For 1 Glass Soda Water, Charleston South Carolina 1837 struck in German Silver. Very rare and much nicer than normally seen. Rulau states that only seven examples are in collectors hands and while this may be a bit over stated it has long been considered one of the classic rarities of the series. An EF+ with two small stains sold for $6,655 in our March 2008 sale. This particular example is from PCAC's July 1995 sale where it realized $3,245. (6000-8000)
