327 - PA750Lb-2efp R9 NGC MS62 Wm. Idler Coin Dealer 111 N. Ninth Street, Philadelphia struck in Silver Plated White Metal with very rare reverse die 1093A engraved and signed by Robert Lovett. Only recognized as a Civil War token in the last 30 years. The third rarest Pennsylvania merchant after Schwartz and Chestnut & Walnut. This variety without the reverse stars is scheduled to be called R9 though Steve Tanenbaum believed it to be Unique. Called PA750La-2e(fp) on the NGC holder, a prior designation. A MS63 example of the much more available R7 -1d variety sold for $1,320 in our March 2010 auction. From the Steve Tanenbaum, Spencer Radnich and Lionel Rudduck collections. (2000-3000)
