216 - NY630BV-11do R9 MS65 40% Bright struck on an 1863 Indian Head Cent with nice undertype detail particularly on the obverse. Story & Southworth, New York with Not One Cent reverse die 1251 struck in Copper Nickel over 1863 Cent. For whatever reason Story & Southworth tokens, despite the proliferation of varieties, were rarely struck over Cents compared to many of the other New York City merchants. Fuld only lists this piece in the main portion of the Store Card book with NY630BV-6do being added in the additional listings in the ANS section in the back of the book. We have never seen either offered before this. From the Dave Bowers and Rich Rossa collections. (1000-1500)
