565 - LOW 27 / HT-41 R7 AU55 Very sharp with a some very light obverse rim marks. But porous and a bit dark as usual. Very rare variety, just one of five we have seen offered in the last twenty plus years. Much like the inclusion of unique varieties in a Civil War token collection the inclusion of one of the Bushnell pieces often serves to identify a truly advanced collection of Hard Times tokens. Nicer than the porous AU that realized $4,070 in our March 2008 sale. In a NGC holder graded AU55 BN. (4000-6000) See pictures.
