Description

390 - OH165 Q-1b R7 EF With tiny clip and slightly wavy planchet. F. Billiods Brewer, Cincinnati Ohio struck in Brass on a large thin sutler style planchet. In John Ostendorf's book he dates this token to late 1862 or early 1863 based on Cincinnati directory research. Very rare and underrated merchant, just the fourth example we have seen offered in the last 30 years. Another EF sold for $2,500 in our December 2008 sale. (1500-2000) See pictures.
