229 - IN950A-2a R9 MS65 60% Red with great cartwheel luster. D. Carlile Oysters, Confectionery and Cigars, Warsaw Indiana with reverse die 1047 dated 1864. Scarce town, rare merchant and very rare variety. Just the second Uncirculated example we have seen from this merchant, an example of the R9 -1b variety AU retoned from cleaning brought $575 in our July 2012 auction.
