961 - Civil War Dog Tag / Love Token AU 20% Bright holed for suspension. War Of 1861 United States counterstamped Asa on the eagle side and T. A. Desbrow Apulia. N.Y. Ellen Desbrow Asa on the reverse where normally the Soldiers vital information is listed. Thomas A Desbow enlisted 12/21/1863 in the 22nd NY Cavalry Company B and was discharged for disability on 10/4/1864. Ellen is presumably his wife and perhaps Asa is a child. Not an official Dog Tag / Identification Disc, but very close. (400-500)
