923 - WTS 1864-Unlisted BR MS64 60% Bright mint luster. Maj. Gen. Wm. T. Sherman, U.S.A (around bust left) // (eagle on drum surrounded by flags). Brass 30mm. Unlisted in Sullivan as Sherman was not an official candidate, however this token is the same style and features the same reverse as AL 1864-11, GMcC 1864-18 and JF 1864-4. A neat addition to an 1864 campaign collection. From the Jon Harris and George Fuld collections. (300-400)
