898 - GMcC 1864-23A WM MS62 40% Bright and nearly Proof Like. Maj. Gen. Geo. B. McClellan (around military bust left) // The Union Must And Shall Be Preserved (around bust of George Washington surrounded by flags). White Metal 28mm. This example has the reverse of GMcC 1864-21 with right arrows pointing between E and S and the other between E and D of Preserved. Sullivan this obverse only with the reverse of GMcC 1864-22 where the right arrows point at the second E and beyond the D in Preserved. From the Henry South collection earlier from PCAC's August 1995 sale. (150-200)
