840 - RULAU NY NY 271 FINE+ Schmitt & Koehne 1 Glass, New York. Popular Half Cent size token with same 1840's to 1850's Liberty Head design struck in Brass with Plain edge. They operated breweries in New York City from the late 1860 through the 1870's on 58th and 59th street including the Central Park Brewery. Thought to be one of just four known. A FINE sold for $126 in our May 2004 sale. This is the Rulau plate specimen. (200-300)
