817 - MILLER NY 948 MS64 10% Red with attractive toning. H. B. West's Famous Trained Dogs, New York struck in Copper with Plain edge and two dogs pulling man in a carriage on the obverse. Very popular and this Copper variety seems to be a bit scarcer than the Reeded edge Brass. Much nicer than the example that realized $202 in our July 2012 sale. From the Richard Crosby collection.
